Begin your tour in the historic Rocks precinct; the birthplace of modern Sydney.  Explore the convict-built cottages, pubs and the first church in Australia.  Heading east, we make our way to the Royal Botanical Gardens situated in the heart of Sydney.  En route we pass through Macquarie Street named after the 5th governor of New South Wales; Lachlan Macquarie.  Here we’ll see Australia’s 1st Parliament House, Mint, Hyde Park Barracks and St Mary’s Cathedral.  The tour continues onto Mrs Macquarie’s Chair from where we’ll enjoy a walking tour of the harbor’s edge and it’s views of the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.

We then continue through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and into Rushcutters Bay, where we stop for lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Australia’s premier yacht club and home to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.  We continue on through Darling Point, one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs, pass by Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watsons Bay, before traversing along the coastline to Sydney’s most famous beach; Bondi.  Here you will have time to soak up the atmosphere of this beachside Mecca.  Stroll down the esplanade with the locals and perhaps enjoy an ice cream before re-boarding our vehicle.  We make our way back to Sydney via the vibrant Oxford Street and the suburb of Paddington; admire this boutique shopping precinct and the charming Georgian and Victorian architecture of the homes.

Blue Mountains Eco Tour

We start the day in the historical Rocks precinct; the birthplace of modern Australia.  Look into its fascinating past and you will see convict built cottages, Australia’s first church and remnants of how Australia was shaped as a nation.  We then travel across the Sydney Harbor Bridge to our first stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to Australia’s favorite marsupials.  Arriving early, we beat the crowds so you’ll get up close and personal with kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and wombats.

We then continue west towards the Blue Mountains, entering a hidden clearing for morning tea, and you’ll have time to roam the area looking for the wild kangaroos and birdlife that frequent this part of the park.  Then we head to Kings Tableland for a view over the Grose Valley, where you’ll see the ruggedness and beauty the Blue Mountains are famous for.<P>Lunch today is in the charming village of Leura, where you’ll have a chance to stroll the main street before settling down at the delightful Leura Garage Cafe.  Enjoy fresh local produce in the funky surrounds of a converted garage.  After lunch we skirt around Cliff Drive towards the township of Katoomba.  At Eagle Hawk lookout you’ll see the famous 3 Sisters formation and views of the Jamison Valley.  From here we continue around Narrowneck Plateau to more incredible vantage points.

Our next stop is Wentworth Falls where you’ll be guided down a well worn path towards the falls and more views.  Discover the local flora and fauna up close as your guide explains the geology of the Blue Mountains and how they were formed.  Reboarding our vehicle we return to Sydney arriving back in the city in the early evening.
