The village style property is located beneath a canopy of trees beside Yellow Water Billabong, home to world-renowned Yellow Water Cruises, where crocodiles and birds are seen on the flood plain amongst Paperbark, Pandanus and Fresh Water Mangroves.

The Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Center is just five minutes from Cooinda and many local attractions are within easy travelling distance.

The Barra Bistro offers a true outdoor Australian alfresco dining experience. Share a Taste of Kakadu Tasting Platter with inclusions such as barramundi, chargrilled buffalo sausages & kangaroo fillet, smoked & marinated crocodile, garden salad, plum chili sauce & bush tomato relish.

Accommodation

Cooinda Lodge offers 48 spacious air-conditioned lodge rooms with full bathroom facilities and a television. Rooms can accommodate a maximum of 4 people, with rollaway beds and cots available (at a fee). Guests have a choice of:

  • 22 Family Rooms (1 queen bed + 1 single beds + 1 rollaway)
  • 14 Standard Rooms (1 queen bed + 1 single bed)
  • 12 Superior Rooms (1 queen bed)
