Brisbane is Queensland‘s sunny and sophisticated capital city. The Brisbane River flows through the heart of the city and its South Bank has a diverse mix of entertainment, recreation and leisure activities. The South Bank includes 42 acres of parklands, restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques, museums and galleries.
If you are looking for a day of relaxation, enjoy Brisbane’s man made beach right in the middle of town. The beach boasts a beautiful lagoon, white sand and tropical plants. On the other hand, if it is adventure you are looking for, you may want to climb up iconic Story Bridge for panoramic views of the city and then rappel back down.
If animals are you interest, get up close to native wildlife at nearby Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary which contains more than 100 koalas and other wildlife.
Brisbane is the gateway to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast as well as Lamington National Park.
