Join Walkabout Adventures on a full day Cultural Tour. A Walkabout Adventures vehicle will pick you up from your Port Douglas or Palm Cove hotel to begin your tour. Spend the day with a local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal tour guide visiting a number of culturally significant areas and learning about the amazing relationships that the Kuku Yalanji people still have with their land. Learn about the history, culture and traditions of the local Aboriginal people and the area. Walk through the rainforest and coastal habitats to learn about the environment, different foods and medicines utilized from nature. Stop at a fresh water creek to enjoy lunch, then sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices. Try your hand at spear throwing and if lucky, catch a mud crab. Visit the rainforest to complete the adventure and cool off in a pristine freshwater stream. Lunch is included. Tour concludes between approximately 4.30pm-5.30pm, at which time you will be delivered back to your hotel.
