Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef
Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef
Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is an exclusive safari camp hidden in the white sand dunes of Western Australia’s Cape Range National Park. 16 spacious wilderness tents are just yards from the water’s edge and one of the world’s greatest fringing coastal coral reefs. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef accommodation and hosting style exudes ‘Wild Bush Luxury’ and Sal Salis guides deliver an extraordinary insight into one of Australia’s best kept natural secrets – the World Heritage Ningaloo Reef. The ecological principles at Sal Salis ensure that your stay generates a minimal environmental footprint.
Wake to the song of birds or the thump of a wallaroo passing by. At night fall asleep to the sound of the waves on the beach, exhausted by a full day of activity, fine food and camaraderie. During the day explore Ningaloo Reef, home to over 500 species of colorful fish and 250 coral species. Just beyond the Reef swim with the mighty giants of the ocean – whale sharks, humpback whales, orcas, manta rays and dolphins.
In the rugged landscapes of the Cape Range National Park their guides introduce you to Australia’s unique flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for red kangaroos, wallaroos, rock wallabies, goannas, echidnas and 100 bird species, many of which are the colors of jewels.
The main lodge is the heart of camp-life. Raised above the sand and coastal scrub with views out onto the reef and Indian Ocean, it is the place to gather for meals and relaxation. There you will find a small reference library with a variety of board games and a comfortable lounge area with self-service bar – an ideal spot for relaxing during the heat of the day with a cold drink and good book.
Meals are shared with your fellow guests and are served at the lodge or on the deck. A hot breakfast is accompanied by fresh fruit, cereal and a selection of bread or pastries with condiments, followed by lunch later in the day. Around sunset, whether you are on a gorge walk or down by the beach, canapés are served, which you can enjoy with a glass of wine while guides brief you on the next day’s activities. Dinner is the real foodie highlight – each night you will enjoy a three-course meal, carefully created and brought to the table out of a simple camp kitchen!
