Sunny Perth on Australia’s west coast is the capital of Western Australia. The city is known for it’s alfresco dining, friendly pubs and beautiful beaches. Besides its serene Swan River and pristine beaches along the Indian Ocean, the city has a vibrant city life. Urban districts and laneways bustlle with great shopping, nightlife and restaurants. In addition, Perth offers many parks where you can enjoy city and Swan River views.
There are many interesting sites to explore around Perth as well. Take a ferry to nearby Rottnest Island and see some beautiful beaches, an array of marine life and the rat like marsupials known as quokkas. A short drive or ferry from Perth takes you to the seaside city of Fremantle. This eclectic city is filled with a wild collection of art, music and trendy cafés and bars. If you enjoy wine tasting, the Swan Valley wine region is just a 25 minute drive from the city. Swan River offers over 150 wineries and a 20 mile wine and food trail.
