MAMANUCA & SOUTHERN YASAWA ISLANDS
3 Nights
Take a cruise around the Mamanuca and Southern Yasawa Islands and come face to face with some of the most beautiful sights that the islands have to offer. Take in the breathtaking island scenery on an adventure that’s perfect for those with limited time.
Itinerary Description
Despite this being our shortest discovery cruise, you’ll still come face to face with some of the most beautiful sights that the islands have to offer. Relax and and take in the breathtaking scenery while enjoying our fully catered buffet’s and 3-course meals, massage services, jacuzzi and cocktail bar, or get more active with some snorkeling, swimming in the pool, or try out our mini-gym.
On your first day, you’ll be sailing through the Mamanuca Island group passed many well known island resorts to Nuku-I-Mana cay, a famously beautiful location renowned for its brilliant seaside views.
You might see familiar sights on the second day as we head to Monuriki, the sheltered island location where the movie Castaway with Tom Hanks was filmed. Don’t worry if you’re not much of a film buff, Monu Island boasts an excellent kayak path, snorkeling spots teeming with ocean life and spectacular coral, and a deserted island feel. This evening we attend a village church service and the harmonies in the church choir will move you to tears.
On day three, we head off to the Sacred Island. Steeped in Fijian history and folklore, this is where you’ll partake in a Sevusevu gift giving ceremony before going off to explore the encompassed lagoons. Then, in the afternoon, you’ll head over to Waya, where you’ll visit the local village or climb the volcanic peak of the mountain.
MAMANUCA & NORTHERN YASAWA ISLANDS
4 Nights
If you’re ready for a slightly longer journey, the four-day trip around the north of Yasawa sports its own unique attractions and experiences. Join Captain Cook Cruises for a magical journey of spectacular scenery across coral gardens and limestone paths.
Itinerary Description
If you’re ready for a slightly longer journey, our four-day trip around the north of Yasawa sports its own unique attractions and experiences. You’ll have access to the same facilities on-board as the three-day cruise, but we’ll be taking you on a magical journey across coral gardens and limestone paths instead.
On the Tuesday of departure, we’ll cruise to our privately-owned Tivua island, where you’ll spend some time exploring the beaches and coral reef (for anyone interested in a shorter tour, we also do one day cruises to Tivua). You also have the option of diving a new wreck, Raiyawa.
You’ll see many beautiful beaches in the northern Yasawa’s, including Drawaqa Bay on day 2, the Yasawa cave lagoons on day 3, and the luxuriant Yaqeta beach on the final day. Fijian culture hasn’t been forgotten with the cruise visiting Gunu for a feast and cultural performance, Matacawalevu for the shell market, school and village visit, Sawa-I-Lau for a spot of crab racing (as fun as it sounds!), and then we’ll be heading back past Tivua on the final night for another cultural performance from the crew.
