Matamanoa Island Resort

Matamanoa Island is an intimate and secluded, adults only Fijian Resort set in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands, approximately 20 miles west of Nadi International Airport – experience a true gift of nature.

The Island boasts a volcanic cone jutting out of the azure waters of this unspoiled marine sanctuary. Clad with native bush and palm trees, the brilliance of the vegetation contrasts magnificently with the white curved sandy beaches and pristine coral reefs. Combined with nature, a haven has been created for those who want to relinquish the pressures of a busy lifestyle. This resort is for those who dream of peace and tranquility.

Matamanoa allows you complete days of rest or a wide range of leisure activities and cultural excursions: swim in the infinity pool and soak up the vistas; or snorkel in the beautiful Pacific Ocean; try your hand at tennis or sip a long cocktail at the bar as you watch the sun set; experience the luxurious treetop spa, Senaki. Discover the magic of this beautiful Island and make new memories.

To achieve this special atmosphere, Matamanoa Island Resort has adopted a year round policy of not permitting day-trippers at any time and children under the age of 16 years.

  • Village Church Visit
    • Listen to the beautiful singing and harmonizing as well as experience an extremely important ceremony to the Fijians. You won’t find this experience anywhere else in the world.
  • Monuriki Island “Cast Away” Tour
    • Monuriki is the island made famous by Tom Hanks and ‘Wilson’ in the film Cast Away. Your guide will take you to some of the set locations and tell you about the film. On the tour you’ll also learn about local flora and fauna, including the Fiji Crested Iguana, which is only found on 2 other islands in the world. There’s also the chance to enjoy some pristine snorkeling or just relax on the beach.
  • Cloud 9 Floating Platform
    • Cloud 9 is Fiji’s only two level floating platform situated literally in the middle of the ocean surrounded by nothing but turquoise blue water, coral reef and the horizon… a floating paradise! This unique venue has an internationally stocked bar, Italian wood-fired pizzeria, surround sound system throughout, sun decks, hanging chairs and day beds.
  • Sport Fishing
    • Come and try your hand at early morning (sunrise) sports fishing. Troll on the outer reef for Giant Trevally (catch and release), Tuna or other exciting sports fish.
