Fiji Orchid

The Fiji Orchid is located approximately 10 miles north of Nadi International Airport and 6 miles south of Lautoka. This is a sojourn for a discrete market — people for whom the art of travel is to pause at each step of a journey and savor the experience, rather than feel rushed to catch their next plane.

This was once the treasured property of Raymond Burr, the Hollywood star of Perry Mason and Ironside. Burr’s house has been transformed into a stunning lounge, bar and gourmet restaurant.  Six inspirational guest bures with a very modern flavor are now dotted around Burr’s magnificent tropical orchid gardens.

The setting is gorgeous – a secluded tropical environment in the foothills of the volcanic Nausori Highlands and close to Saweni Beach, one of Fiji’s most beautiful stretches of sand and sea. The highlight, however, is the property’s own surroundings – five acres of tropical gardens that showcase an extraordinary number and variety of magnificent orchids.

With six majestic tented bures, The Fiji Orchid is very private and exclusive, incorporating a restaurant, bar and lounge area, a boutique and a large swimming pool.

Stay at either end of your island escape and discover Fiji as it should be — an indulgent journey to wander through a leisurely pace.

The Fiji Orchid provides full concierge service including 24 hour front desk, daily housekeeping and complimentary airport transfers.
