Huka Lodge is located on 17 acres of magnificent manicured grounds, along the banks of the magnificent Waikato River and upstream from Huka Falls. When you enter through the gates, you will immediately begin to leave the real world behind. Journey the length of the drive and encounter the park-like grounds, and a feeling of peace and tranquility will begin to envelop you. The garden at Huka Lodge is ranked as a ‘Garden of National Significance’ and deemed to be of regional importance by the New Zealand Gardens Trust.

Within the extensive and beautiful grounds guests have use of a swimming pool, spa pools, tennis, croquet and pétanque courts, a library, a study and all the amenities available at the Main Lodge.

Included in the Rates
  • Pre-dinner drinks and canapés for one hour before dinner every night.
  • Every night a fivve-course gourmet dinner is presented. There is a new menu created everyday by the Huka Lodge Executive Chef. After dinner, petits-fours and cheeses are also provided.
  • Full country breakfast is served everyday – guests can choose from a generous quantity and variety of delicious dishes.
  • In the Junior Lodge Rooms minibar items such as soft drinks, fruit juices, nuts, home-baked biscuits, chocolate bars, tea and coffee are there for your enjoyment, at no charge.
  • Cars will be valet parked at no extra charge.
  • Toiletries are provided for your use – shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower gel, shower cap and also towelling slippers.
  • Free shoe polishing.

Onsite Activities
  • The lodge is nestled within 17-acres of manicured grounds and enjoys a location of great natural beauty. The gardens are listed as of National Significance.
  • There is an all-weather tennis court as well as potential to play pètanque and croquet within the grounds.
  • Guests can cast a line from the lawn and fish for trout, on a catch-and-release basis.
  • A swimming pool and spa pools are available for the enjoyment of all guests.
  • There is a helipad on the lawn, in front of the main Lodge, for guest arrivals and departures.
  • Guests can enjoy massages, facials and beauty treatments within the privacy of their own room.
  • There are fly fishing rods and some mountain bikes available for guests to use, on request.

Every last detail required for guest comfort has been carefully considered, from the finest monogrammed bed linen, and feather pillows, to the freshly baked biscuits.

French doors open onto the wooden terrace beyond and all 18 Junior Lodge Suites face the hypnotic deep turquoise green waters of the Waikato River.

The bathrooms offer every indulgence as well as being spacious and light, with the most decadent deep bath, luxurious towels, heated floors, and twin basins. Dressing rooms are both large and generous in proportion, with room to truly make yourself at home during your stay.
