McHardy Lodge is a beautifully restored, single storey 1890’s home located in a quiet cul de sac on Napier Hill, within just a couple of minutes drive to the center of Napier.
McHardy Lodge offers boutique accommodation from which you can enjoy all the attractions of Napier and Hawke’s Bay – the wineries, Art Deco Heritage, the Gannet Colony and superb golf at Cape Kidnappers.
Enjoy your day out and then return to relax in the secluded swimming pool or with a game of billiards. Or you can simply enjoy the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding mountains.

Venice Super King Suite

Indulge yourself in the Venice suite’s luxurious ensuite deep soaker tub and separate large shower.
Versailles Super King Suite
This suite offers a warm, elegant and gracious style reminiscent of the past. Curl up in the super king size bed with its fine linens and bedding or relax on the stylish sofa as you enjoy the sun streaming through your windows. Soak away your cares in the claw foot bath or refresh yourself under the separate shower.
Chianti Super King Suite
This room was Inspired by the rich red wine of the Chianti region and is strikingly different with bold colors and native Rimu furnishings. Relax in the super king size bed with its fine linens and bedding. Full length sash windows give you direct access to the poolside veranda, leading to the heated swimming pool area. You can luxuriate in the deep authentic old fashioned claw foot bath or in the generous tiled shower.
Alexandra Super King Suite
This suite is decorated in a blend of cream, gold and silver creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It features a luxurious super king size bed with fine linens and bedding and beautiful French doors leading out onto the outdoor veranda. The Alexandra Suite can be configured to accommodate 2 x King Single beds if you prefer. The spacious bathroom features an old fashioned claw foot bath with a large rose overhead shower.
Chablis Queen Suite
Decorated in refreshing lemon, forest green and Chablis grape colours, this suite features an inviting queen size wrought iron bed. Wicker furnishings reflect the emphasis on nature in this room. French doors open onto the veranda and allow you to bring the outside in. The spacious bathroom features a large shower cubicle.
Jonquil Queen Room
Shades of spring greet you in the Jonquil suite featuring a warm and inviting room with wrought iron queen size bed. French doors open onto a private patio area which provides direct access for those with special mobility needs. The spacious ensuite facilities provide level access shower and other disability adaptations.
