The Portage Resort

 

Portage Resort is warm and sunny, and faces north over peaceful Kenepuru Sound. Located on the acclaimed Queen Charlotte Track, the hotel offers a selection of accommodation from quality suites, rooms with large decks and beautiful views to rooms for families. The main hotel building with reception, cafe and restaurant is located on the beach front level. The rooms on the gentle hillside slope above the main building and overlook the bay below.

The resort’s central location in Marlborough makes it easy to reach from all over New Zealand. Located just a 10 minute walk from the acclaimed Queen Charlotte Track, the resort is a great place to start or end your trek.

These are two of The Portage’s premier rooms. They are more central but do not have decks. Great for honeymooners or guests for longer stays.

Kowhai Lodge has 11 rooms, with large decks, all facing the famous Kenepuru Sound view across a wide sweeping lawn and garden area. Perfectly positioned to catch the morning sun, these spacious rooms are furnished with modern decor, super king bed, large mirror, wardrobe and drawers.

All hillside rooms have comfortable furniture and views overlooking the Resort. Some rooms have decks, larger rooms have sunrooms but no decks. Bathrooms are refreshed. No bathtubs.
